Season of Hope
We are certainly experiencing a challenging time in our world, nation, and personal lives. There is discouraging and depressing news all around us which threatens to flood our minds with uncertainty and fill our hearts with fear. Even so, let us consider one word—Hope!
Looking Toward the Future
Hope is a realistic expectation of and a joyful longing for future good. It has been said that hope does not deny or remove the reality of dark and painful times. However, it does shine a bright light into these valleys and points to the sunrise at the end of them. As spring follows winter, and dawn follows darkness, it is natural for hope to emerge after a time of despair. Though we may feel stuck during this difficult time, hope can move us onward. The more we choose to look toward the future, the less likely we may be to dwell on the past.
At Cherry Associates, we recognize that the holiday season may be difficult due to our individual circumstances such as loss, financial concerns, strained relationships, and more. While life may be difficult at times, it doesn’t mean we stop living. It’s only for a season, and we know that seasons always change. No matter who we are or what our circumstances may be, hope is one thing we all need. Hope is powerful. It’s more than a passing thought or a fleeting idea. It provides light in the darkness and serves as an anchor in the storm. Hope reminds us that there is no problem too big to keep us down, freeing us from feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. Hope inspires us to believe that things will get better. It motivates us to keep moving forward.
How Do We Find It?
So, how do we find hope in a time of uncertainty? For Cherry Associates, our hope is found in reading, praying, and practicing our faith. Our hope is anchored in Christ! The Bible teaches that Christ is the Hope of Glory. As we celebrate this season, our hope is that you, too, discover the profound peace and unwavering confidence that comes from trusting Him. May this season bring you renewed strength, joy, and hope as you embrace the true meaning of this celebration.
